Seiko Unveils Yellow Dial Prospex Speedtimer Featuring Pepsi-Style Bezel

WATCHES/LIXSR   July 15, 2024

Seiko has introduced the Prospex Speedtimer SSC947, a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Seiko 6139 “Pogue” chronograph. This watch pays homage to the timepiece worn by NASA astronaut Colonel William Pogue during his Skylab 4 mission in 1973.

The SSC947 features a 41.4mm stainless steel case with a striking Pepsi-style bezel, combining blue and red elements. The dial is a vibrant sunray yellow, contrasted by matte black rehaut and three chronograph subdials. Powered by a V192 solar movement, this watch boasts a power reserve of approximately six months when fully charged.

The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC947 will be available for purchase starting in August 2024, with a retail price of $700 USD.
