Nivada Grenchen F77 Reimagined with Stone Dials

WATCHES/LIXSR   April 15, 2024

Nivada Grenchen revitalizes its classic F77 watch model from the 1970s with an exciting new iteration featuring stone dials. This transformation brings an exquisite blend of timeless design and contemporary innovation to the iconic timepiece, now available in lightweight grade 5 titanium.

Design and Features

The reimagined F77 model showcases four unique dial options: Meteorite, Anthracite, Aventurine, and Lapis Lazuli, each offering a distinct visual appeal. The Meteorite dial, available only via pre-order, features a metallic gray crafted from real meteorite fragments, adding a celestial touch to the watch. Anthracite presents a subtle basket-weave pattern, while Aventurine and Lapis Lazuli offer shimmering blue hues derived from their respective gemstones, adding both depth and luxury to the design.

Transitioning from stainless steel to titanium, the new F77 weighs significantly less—86 grams compared to the original 126 grams—without sacrificing durability or aesthetic. This model also includes an integrated metal bracelet that complements its sport-chic, retro look. It is equipped with a Swiss-made SOPROD P024 mechanical self-winding movement, ensuring 38 hours of power reserve and 10 ATM water resistance.

The reissue not only emphasizes aesthetics but also functionality, with each variant of the F77 being tailored to reflect sophistication and technical perfection. The stone dials are not merely ornamental; they are integrated into the watch’s design to enhance its visual narrative, celebrating the natural beauty and rarity of the materials used.

Availability and Purchase Information

The Nivada Grenchen F77 with stone dials will be available for purchase starting April 25, with prices ranging from $1,390 to $1,700 USD. Pre-orders begin on April 19, exclusively through Nivada Grenchen’s official website. This release provides an opportunity for watch enthusiasts and collectors to own a piece that masterfully combines traditional watchmaking with innovative design elements.
