Nike Reveals Air Force 1 Low Vanta Black

FASHION/LIXSR   August 22, 2024

Nike has unveiled the Air Force 1 Low Vanta Black, a new take on the iconic silhouette inspired by the ultra-dark Vantablack pigment, known for absorbing over 99% of visible light.

While the sneaker doesn’t employ the exact Vantablack material, it captures the essence with its deep, monochromatic design. The upper is crafted from a combination of suede and nubuck, creating a texture that enhances the shoe’s already stark appearance.

The branding elements, including the Swooshes, Nike Air tags, and lace dubrae, are all presented in tonal black, further emphasizing the shoe’s minimalist aesthetic. A slightly lighter shade of black is used on the sole unit, providing subtle contrast without detracting from the overall dark theme.

This Nike Air Force 1 Low Vanta Black is set to release during the Holiday 2024 season, with an anticipated price of $135 USD. The sneaker will be available via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, though exact dates have yet to be confirmed.
