Furlan Marri Unveils a Modern Twist on the Disco Volante

WATCHES/LIXSR   July 16, 2024

Furlan Marri has introduced the Disco Volante series, a fresh take on a classic design with a contemporary flair. The collection includes three models: Havana Disco, Disco Celeste, and Disco Verde, each featuring a 38mm stainless steel case with hidden lugs for a seamless circular appearance on the wrist.

The dials, inspired by Art Deco aesthetics and infused with 1980s elements, come in distinct colorways – brown/salmon for Havana Disco, blue/white for Disco Celeste, and green for Disco Verde. Each dial features a sector layout with applied markers and Arabic numerals, along with a running seconds indicator at 6 o’clock. The use of Super-LumiNova in complementary hues enhances the visual appeal in low light conditions.

Powering the Disco Volante is the manual-winding Peseux 7001 movement, chosen for its thin profile, reliability, and ease of service. This movement, with its redesigned bridges and polished screws, allows the watch to maintain a slim 8.95mm thickness. The Disco Volante watches are priced at $2,780 USD and will be available as a permanent addition to the Furlan Marri catalog, with initial batches planned for delivery later this year.
